We are delighted to have won the title of ‘Environmental Development NPO of the year’ in the South West England Prestige Awards. The judges said ‘the passion for what you do really comes across and the judges were impressed with your team’s personal touch and community feel. It’s extra special to know all the hard work & positivity is paying off and something really positive to build on in 2024.’

Over the last 16 years the awards have run on an international basis. In 2017 regional awards were introduced to recognise smaller, independent businesses that are extremely successful on a local or national level.

This recognition is a wonderful acknowledgement of all the hard work put in by our volunteers, members and allies, who put their time and energy into change-making activities which make a real difference on Dartmoor. From our conservation activities on High House Waste and bracken clearance at Drake’s leat, to high profile rallies in London alongside Right to Roam and The Stars Are For Everyone, a vision of the best version of Dartmoor is at the heart of all we do.

We envision a future where Dartmoor is healthy, biodiverse and accessible to all. The ongoing support of our local community, and also many allies further afield, helps us to continue to campaign, educate and inform as we work towards these important goals.
